Lake Worth ISD Names New Superintendent


Mr. John Hebert, Lake WorthISD Superintendent

LAKE WORTH, Texas — Lake Worth ISD’s Board of Trustees made it official at a Special Called Meeting on Thursday, December 11th – Mr. John Hebert will be the district’s new Superintendent.
Mr. Hebert had previously been named as the Lone Finalist at a Special Called Meeting on Thursday, November 20th.   A state-mandated 21-day waiting period followed before Mr. Hebert could be officially hired for the position.  
“The board is excited to be able to bring Mr. Hebert back on board here at Lake Worth ISD as our new Superintendent” said LWISD Board President Donna Hutson.  “He is the perfect fit for our district – someone who knows our kids and our community and is well respected by all.  He is also a collaborative leader who has a proven record of academic success.  We know that he is the right person to lead our district forward”.
Mr. Hebert’s 28 years of experience in education have predominately been within Tarrant County, most notably as the Principal of Lake Worth High School from 2005 to 2008.  He also served as the Principal of Brewer High School and later as Assistant Superintendent of District Curriculum, Instruction, and Administrative Services at White Settlement ISD.  Mr. Hebert holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Education Degree in Public Administration from Tarleton State University.
Mr. Hebert is a native of White Settlement. He and his wife Pam, a business owner for 25 years and a Lake Worth High School graduate, have 2 children, Brooks, 21 and Bret, 18. Both sons are graduates of Brewer High School and are attending college.
